NEW partnership between the MetroStars & MLS Camps creates the premier soccer developmental program in the Tri-State

Thanks to a new partnership between the MetroStars and MLS Camps, local youth soccer clubs will now have one great resource for training solutions and player development.

The MetroStars partnership with MLS Camps will bring the two entities together under the MetroStars banner to provide the most advanced soccer instruction in the Tri-State area. It’s called MetroStars Player Development Programs (MPDP).

“This is a great day for the MetroStars organization,” said MetroStars President and General Manager Nick Sakiewicz. “MLS camps is the most premier camp program in the country and the MetroStars are the most elite Soccer team in the Tri-State area. To marry these two under the MetroStars banner will provide aspiring MLS stars great instruction as well as a direct path to their dreams.”

MLS Camps has been a leader in youth sports education for over thirty-five years. Each year MLS Camps employs over 500 coaches to deliver Camp and Seasonal Training programs to over 270,000 players in 1,300 communities across the country. Last summer, over 7,000 players attended the MetroStars/MLS Camp program in the Tri State area alone. For information on MLS Camps, please visit www.MLScamps.com.

By combining the MetroStars ongoing player development initiatives with MLS Camp’s reach and expertise the MetroStars have now created the most direct path for Tri-State youths to reach the professional level.

“This agreement will open many doors for Tri-State Youths,” said MetroStars Chief Operating Officer Tom Neale. “The MetroStars will now be able to reach and develop a greater number of young players who aspire to become the next Eddie Gaven, Ricardo Clark and Mike Magee’s for the MetroStars. This agreement also provides the opportunity for the Metros to bring our message and brand to a targeted population of over 30,000 youth soccer players.”

MetroStars Player Development will offer five different programs to the public: the MetroStars Day Camps, MetroStars Elite Camps, MetroStars Player Development Schools, MetroStars Academy and MetroStars Clinic and Training Services (CTS).
